The Ansotegi Tower, also known as the Munibetxea Tower, is located in the historic quarter of Markina-Xemein, next to the Antxia Tower. It is a free-standing building with a rectangular ground plan, consisting of several clearly differentiated heights: ground floor and three floors above it. The work is made of masonry, but reserves the stone, ashlars in a chain, for the most important areas of the facade: corners and window surrounds. The entire building is covered with a gabled roof.

One of its façades, the one facing Guenkalea, has two pointed entrances – currently closed off – flanked by two rectangular openings that were originally arrow slits. The first floor has four openings divided by mullions, of which only the one on the far left is original. The rest of the facade has been completely rebuilt. Ansotegi is a clear case of a medieval Gothic tower that evolved into a Baroque house.
