San Pedro Apóstol Church

The primitive church of San Pedro was founded in the 12th century by powerful local families. Later, in 1588, it was rebuilt acquiring a Renaissance character.

This parish church, which stands on a small promontory overlooking the banks of the River Artibai, is remarkable for its compact and somewhat cubic volume. Its sturdy walls, made of limestone masonry, enclose the interior of a nave with four very high chapels.
