The Santa Katalina lighthouse is one of the ideal places in Lea Artibai to visit with the family, as this lighthouse, located in Lekeitio, is the first lighthouse in the Basque Country that can be visited and houses an interpretation centre for navigation technology. So, once there, we will enjoy learning the basics of navigation thanks to the technological means, being able to put them into practice in a virtual boat trip, which is the favourite of the children who visit us. The Santa Katalina lighthouse also offers visitors wonderful sunsets that are perfect for the whole family to enjoy, following the promenade that connects the port of Lekeitio with the interpretation centre.
And for dynamic families, in Lea Artibai we have a wide variety of routes, both along the coast and inland, of different levels of difficulty, suitable for all the family. One of them is the Lea Path, a simple and easy route that is very suitable for the youngest members of the family. Along 23 km, the trail, which runs between Munitibar and Lekeitio, shows us different hydraulic devices, such as mills, dams and ironworks, which explain the importance that the valley has had throughout history. To better share this information, as a novelty, we have set up an open-air Skape Room along the route with different tests and surprises that will make us have a very pleasant time. Active sports, especially those related to the sea, occupy an important place in our offer: you can surf, paddle-surf, kayaks, big sup… And if that were not enough, in Mendexa Abentura Park you can enjoy an adventure park full of zip lines and different challenges prepared for the youngest and oldest of the house.
